A device for randomly generating session ideas.
Clicking the ‘Generate’ button will suggest a random musical sub-genre, a random song title, and a suggested time signature, key and tempo.
The time signature and tempo can be linked to your project so that these parameters are automatically set in Ableton Live.
Also features buttons which open the following in your browser:
- FreeSound search based on song name (for sample ideas).
- YouTube search based on song name (for sample ideas).
- Google search based on sub-genre name (for more information about the generated sub-genre).
- Wikipedia search based in sub-genre name (for more information about the generated sub-genre).
The Challenge!
Click the ‘Generate’ button once and create a project based on the suggested sub-genre, tempo, key and time signature. Use the YouTube and FreeSound links and build the project only around samples sourced from the first result on each page.
The tempo and time signature randomisers are built upon the Session Randomizer device by piearesquared
